I’d recommend the Brow Wiz for more detailed work and the Brow Definer to easily fill in brows. I also really like the brand’s Brow Definer ($23) which has a triangular tip that can be used three different ways to outline and fill brows. I’ve tried many “dupe” products for the Brow Wiz but none have quite measured up to the OG. This ultra-slim retractable pencil is ideal for precise detailing and creating hair-like strokes. Anastasia of Beverly Hills – Brow Wiz ($21) – Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Brow Wiz has long since been an staple in my makeup collection.The 24-hour smudge-proof, waterproof color builds beautifully to create brow looks ranging from soft and natural to bold and dramatic. My favorite brow pomade of 2017 was Benefit’s ka-BROW! I wear shade 03 Medium (light to medium brown, redheads – neutral-warm.) I love how easy this brow color is to apply. Benefit Cosmetics – ka-BROW! Cream-Gel Eyebrow Color with Brush ($24) – ka-BROW! features an all in one cream-gel formula with a built-in brush that glides on smoothly to easily shape, fill and define brows.My must-have shade is Trooper (satin black.) Its formula is highly pigment, waterproof and long lasting. Kat Von D – Tattoo Liner ($20) – This liquid eyeliner has an innovative felt-tip brush for effortless, precise application.It’s available in ten shades including fun pops of color such as Cobalt Blue (pictured above) and Teal. This smudge-proof eyeliner is one of the drugstore’s best offerings. L’Oréal – Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner ($9.49) – Glides like silk.This self-sharpening liner is available in eight shades ranging from Nude to Green. Smashbox – Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner ($21) – If you can’t get your hands on the Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder Eye Kajal, this eyeliner from Smashbox is an excellent alternative.Both pencils can be purchased on NET-A-PORTER while supplies last. This pencil is also available in the shade Java/Vanille. I was blown away by its intense pigmentation and smooth application. This eye kajal from the limited edition Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder Collection is probably the best pencil liner that I’ve ever used. Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder – Eye Kajal – Black Saffron/ Vanille ($30) – Effortless to use and carry with you, this double-ended, exceptionally soft and creamy eyeliner offers a potent black pencil and an eye-opening ivory for a smudgy, “imperfect” look. For day, line the waterline with ‘Vanille’, adding ‘Black Saffron’ for evening. I haven’t tried the waterproof formula yet. The Voluminous Lash Paradise is pretty much an exact dupe for the bestselling Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara ($23.) Save your money and buy the drugstore dupe. I own the shades 200 Blackest Black, 205 Black and 202 Black Brown. No clumping. This drugstore gem from L’Oréal is hands down my favorite mascara of 2017. 200+ bristles catch every lash for a dramatic volumizing effect…No flaking. Soft wavy bristles hold the maximum amount of formula. L’Oréal‘s Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara ($9.99) – Take your lashes to paradise with voluptuous volume & intense length.Overall, I really like this mascara, especially paired with Lancôme‘s fantastic lash primer, Cils Booster XL ($25.) (I hated the spider lash trend.) I use the shade Big Is The New Black.
I do not recommend it.) As advertised, this mascara does have a big brush but it’s not large enough to be unwieldy. Upon application, I noticed significant volume without clumping or flaking. (I’ve had eyelash extensions in the past and half of my natural lashes were pulled out as a result.
When it comes to lashes, I’m all about dramatic volume and length but I don’t apply falsies on a daily basis. His ultra-creamy formula has supple waxes and polymers to adhere immediately to lashes for BIG, buildable volume and length. This aptly named new mascara from Lancôme claims to have their blackest formula ever and deliver as much as 12x more volume than bare lashes alone with up to 24 hours of wear. Lancôme – Monsieur Big Mascara ($25) – Monsieur Big’s brush has a unique shape with soft, wavy fibers to deliver the perfect amount of formula with the very first stroke.As stated in my previous post, I will be touching upon 2017 releases, newly discovered products and my holy grail essentials.
